Opened Captivate 2019 (v 11.5.5.553) today and Adobe Creative Cloud required me to sign in and update. Once that was finished, I opened a captivate file I’ve been working on without problems for the past 3 months. It opened, but none of the text is appearing on the slide. You can see the text is on the slide in the filmstrip, and if I click on the slide, the text begins to appear; however, if I save the file, the text does not reappear when I close and reopen the course – I have to click everything all over again to get it to show.

I try to preview as HTML5 in browser and get message “publish has failed.” I try to publish to SCORM (HTML5) and get message “publish has failed.” Preview project runs the project but does not have any of the text in the slides (although audio plays).

Running on Windows 10 (64-bit).

Just guessing now. I do have also CC app upgraded lately, didn’t experience a problem.

Do you use any Adobe font in this project? They are the reason you need to keep the synchronisation with CC app healthy. Can you try to sign out of the CC app, and sign back in if you use Adobe font(s)? Check in Captivate if the font(s) is available.
