360 VR but from the other perspective

I’ve been playing around with VR projects.

Normally, there is a 360 image taken from a point. That point being the learner.

I’m looking to have the learner able to move around a point instead – imagine the learner walking around and viewing a statue.

Does anyone know if Captivate is capable of that?

This is a great question, I am interested in being able to do this with Captivate as well.

What about doing it with a video?  You could upload it to youtube after you inject it with the Spatial Media Metadata to make it VR immersive and interactive.

Then embed or link it?

That’s my evenings taken up with this for the next week or so now! 😁 Great idea bringing in youtube! If I get something working I’ll post a project up!

It would be possible to link to Youtube or another video hosting site that can do 360 videos.  In Youtube, you can use your mouse or trackpad to look around a space and so you could make your video or photo a 360 experience in that way if you need it.  I’m not sure if embedding it in Captivate would allow the same features as the browser but should be easy to test.

If you were going to use 360 content, remember that you must encode them with the right codecs before uploading it to youtube/video hosting site depending on which 360 camera you use otherwise they won’t work properly.  Neat idea btw.

AFAIK that is not available at this moment in Captivate.
