Unable to see course in Chrome and Edge
(4)

I have Captivate 2019 and when I preview my courses it works in both Chrome and Edge. However, when I publish the course to my desktop and attempt to launch the course I get a screen that opens with a start arrow on it. When I click the arrow it acts like it is opening and I can see a faded version of my titel page that has a dark grey screen over top of it. I am unable to do anything or move on to see if anything else in the course works.

It’s difficult to say for sure. I’m just suggesting possibilities. Here are a couple of videos that I’ve done to talk about these steps.

Previewing your published project from your desktop doesn’t always work as online learning expects to be on a web server or LMS. Some things may not function as expected. Another issue could be the size of your resources. Be sure to optimize things like images, videos, audio before importing them into Captivate to be sure they run correctly.

So just to clarify, the size of the asset could affect its functionality in the web browser? Because I have to publish the lesson to the desktop and open from there. The assets, 90% of the time, work in preview but do not once published.

Also is there a video out there to show me how to do that?
