Question actions in Captivate 2017?

I’m using the 30 day trial version 2017, where is the advance actions on the question? I want to provide feedback for each wrong answer.
So if I’m understanding this correctly, you can’t leave individual feedback for a short answer question, just multiple choice?

Short answer questions are very limited in Captivate since the answer is only considered to be correct when it is literally the same as the one considered to be the correct answer. That is ridiculous IMO. For that reason I never use the default short answer question at all but create a custom question. Here is an example:

I am not sure what you mean by ‘individual feedback’ when it is about a short answer question? Only one answer is possible in that case, and the feedback messages can be individualized on each question type. Moreover you have the cpQuizInfoAnswerChoice variable which can be used in any advanced/shared action to detect the answer and give a more detailed feedback for the given answer.
You might be referring to the Advanced Answer Options for multiple-choice questions. If you want feedback for each individual answer, select the answer you want individual feedback for and navigate to the Properties Inspector. Click on the Options tab and select Advanced Answer Option. You can set an action for that answer but also the unique feedback message for that answer. This feature only works with single answer multiple-choice and be careful of using finite tries with this type of question as it can lock up without the means to move on from the slide.

Are you sure about the version? Since over 3 years it has not been possible to download a trial version for CP2017. The present version is 11.8 which is the third main release under CP2019.
For your question: you don’t need advanced actions to give individual feedback for answers on a MCQ with one correct answer, you can use the advanced answer feature. However you didn’t specify which type of question you are using, please provide us with that info.
