Maybe you have audio inside an object.
Hmmm… without more details I am only using some guesses.
You cannot have more than one slide audio on a slide, unless you are use the ‘system audio’, so my first guess is that you are talking about either a combination of slide audio with object audio or ”Play audio”, or do not have real slide audio? Have a look at:

Another guess: do you experience overlapping of audio of a previous or next slide with the present slide audio?
