Adobe Captivate – Free Trial to Complimentary Service?

I’m new to Adobe Captivate and have a free 30-day trial currently. I’m trying to work up to getting the three complimentary months of Adobe Captivate service, but I’m wondering if I can add that extra three months to the 30 days. Does it switch immediately over to the complimentary three months, or does the 30 day trial expire first and then you get three additional months on top of that?

Thank you!

You can reach out to elcommunity1@adobe.com to redeem your community points during the last week of the month to extend your Captivate subscription. We used to do this exercise quarterly last year but now since we have moved to the subscription model, we are able distribute redemption codes to our members once every month. With a redemption code you can extend your subscription by 3 months or more right after your trial period gets over (without paying any subscription fee).

It does not automatically tack the three months of complimentary usage to the end of a trial edition of the software. My understanding is that the rewards are redeemed for the complimentary licenses on a quarterly basis so it may not line up with your plans to keep using the software beyond the 30-day trial. This may have changed in 2022 as the way complimentary licenses have changed. For example, in the past, I would receive a serial number that I would enter into the software to extend my license. This year it’s managed in the back-end and it is tied to my account ID. So long as I’m logged in with the correct Adobe ID my software shows activated. Perhaps Ishan Mukherjee from Adobe could comment on this.

The FAQ’s aren’t too clear, and I’m not 100% positive, but my understanding would be that the three months are added on to the end of the 30 day free trial considering that paid users wouldn’t have their month of usage shortened once they gain enough points to gain an additional 3 months of license usage. However, maybe someone who has achieved this before can answer more concretely.
