I have a Captivate project not using any quiz. I expanded the Captivate HTML 5 file to Canvas and link the index.html to the content page in Canvas. The file is only 9k but it does not load in Canvas. Did I miss anyting here?

Some LMSs, but not all, allow to upload a zipped package. I used that for non-reporting courses in Blackboard but the output needed to be zipped and had to instruct to unzip and launch from the index.html file.

If Canvas allows only SCO’s to be uploaded, you need to create a SCO which will result also in a zipped package but will include all the required SCORM files.

How do you create a SCO? You need to set up Quiz Preferences, Reporting. That is possible even though you don’t have a quiz or a score to report. The criterion can be based on slide visits. Of course no score will be transmitted to the LMS gradebook, but you will be able to use the automatic bookmarking by LMS.
