Since 2004 I started with e-learning, the first tool I used was Flash, it was amazing the things that we could do, only using the timeline, action script 2, jpg, png, vector shapes, it was a world of possibilities. I didn´t know how use code or programming, that was the reason Flash was my best animation and e-learning tool.

Then on 2010 I discover Captivate, it was very diferent than Flash, it helps me to make my work and export it as the client needs for LMS. I felt a little confused, the time I spend on Captivate compared to Flash helps me to deliver my courses very fast but there´s no the richness and full animation that SWF files can give us.

With the change to HTML5 and the obsolescence fo SWF format I started from zero to learn to code and find the way to enrich my courses.

Captivate has many tools and ways to create simple or advanded courses, now we have to make a combination of tools directly from Captivate, import animation from Animate, use files with JS, import audio and video, yes it is limiting in terms of animation and dynamism but for the purpose of teaching and report results is one of the best software that exists.

Thanks for posting this testimonial, I appreciate you have done it in two languages!

Of course Animate has much more possibilities for animation, but for interactivity Captivate is the Queen! I love also the roundtripping with Photoshop, Audition and Illustrator.  Just regret that easy use of Premiere Pro, After Effects and Character Animator (read roundtripping) are not (yet?) implemented. Since you probably also have a CC subscription I hope you give at least roundtripping with PS a look:

Thanks, I´ll take a look. It will be great if we can use Character Animator linked to Captivate.
