Window size in demonstration?
I am trying to do a training video with power point slides and then software simulation. I am doing voice over on all of it. When I finished and reviewed there are screens in the software simulation where it looks like my screen size doesn’t’ work or in the video it doesn’t move with my mouse. I have my desktop open and I move my mouse to my favorites in the upper right hand corner. You can’t see the upper right corner when playing the video. What am I doing wrong?
Do you really publish to MP4? Captivate is meant to have interactivity, and publishing to a passive video format will result in losing all interactivity. I will not comment on the PPT slides, a workflow I never use because it is so crippling. You use a software simulation, which is not a good idea if you want to publish to MP4. In that case you really should use Video Demo, not a software sim. One of the reasons is that you probably have several FMR (Full Motion Recording) slides. Those slides originally were converted to FLV, but now they need to be converted on publishing to MP4 and that tends to be tricky. Especially since you want to publish the whole project to MP4, having small MP4s in a big MP4 is asking for problems (also about synchronizing the audio).
Another possible issue are the resolutions of PPT and software sim: are they exactly the same> With resolution I mean the size in px, W/H/
