Delete button not working

I noticed recently that whenever I attempt  to delete an object within a project using the keyboard shortcut, backspace, it does not delete. I can delete objects using the right click mouse menu, but it would be much easier if this would work using the keyboard.

Any suggestions?

Thank you

Instead of backspace you can select the object you want to delete and press the delete key.

Hi,

Thank you, yes, while that is true, I am more interested in being able to select an object on the timeline and delete using the backspace key. Selecting objects on the stage is problematic at times, considering the fact that objects might be on top of one another, or so close that making a selection there is not as easy as doing it within the timeline panel.

I usually use Cp on Windows but I installed Cp on my Mac and tested the delete button to delete images. It worked fine. Can you check the version of Adobe Captivate you’re using? Also my MacBook’s backspace button is the ‘delete’ button.

When I select an object in the timeline and try to delete it using my delete key, it does not delete. I do hear some feedback from my computer (or probably captivate) that connotes an error of some sort. This might have to do with my install, my os, or some bug. My version of captivate is 2019, 11.5.
