Captivate Quiz Issues

I’m working with the latest version of captivate 2019 versions: 11.5.5.553. I have a couple issues going on with Captivate.

1st issue: I created a 10 question quiz that is displaying the wrong page numbers for example, instead of displaying question 1 of 10, it’s displaying 22 of 31.

2nd issue: When I fail the quiz the retake button doesn’t take me to the start of the quiz. It takes me to the middle of the tutorial.

Can some point me in the right direction to solve these issues?

FYI: the most recent version is under 11.8, but you only need it when you are on Win11 or on Mac.

My suspicion is that you have not only scored question slides, but also scored objects. The first scored object should in that case be on the slide to which the Retake navigation is pointing.

Open the Advanced Interaction panel (F9), which is the place to go to check the Total score and the scored objects. You find an in-depth explanation of this panel in my blog post:

You cannot edit in this panel but you’ll learn that it is dynamically linked to the Properties panel where you can take out the scoring for those objects.
