I have a question regarding the display of quiz results. If the learner review the results after pressing the review button, and then returns to this slide again, the button to retry the quiz disappears.

I would like to be able to retry the quiz after reviewing it, is this possible? If possible, I would appreciate it if you could tell me how to do this.

You’re welcome, Miho. Did you only see this answer recently? It is over 6 months old, which is really weird. I just want to understand.

The link I provided is one belonging to a complete basic course about quizzes, you’ll find the other articles easily. Maybe you’ll discover more interesting features. I completed it by a series of tweak posts as well, if you are interested.

The default setup is indeed that attempts on quiz level are considered to be exhausted after passing or reviewing the quiz. From a teacher’s perspective this is logical because the Review shows the correct answers for each question and is a clear invitation to cheating if you allow another retake after reviewing all questions.

I have two possible answers, both may disappoint you:

  • Prevent clicking the Review button before the attempts on quiz level are exhausted. That is easily done by dragging the Review button under the Retake button. It is one of the tweaks which I described in this blog post:
Quiz Tweaks 5: Results slide – eLearning (adobe.com)
  • Create a custom Review slide instead of giving them the full Review status. You can indicate in that slide which answers were wrong, but avoid to show the correct answers. That is a lot of work but I have another blog about that as well. However embedding two links would delay the answer a lot because it would be moderated. I think you can find it by searching.
