Carousel text displays correctly, but image does not display after state change.
Hello everyone,
I have a problem that I have not been able to troubleshoot, and I hope that someone here will be able to help me.
I have created some carousels and when I test them, I can click the right arrow and progress forward through the carousel as expected. When I click the left arrow to go back through the carousel, everything works until I get to the default slide (which is the first slide when viewing the carousel from the start). The text displays, but the accompanying image does not. I am attaching screen captures that show the following: the default state, the state that displays when I click the right arrow, and then the default state as it displays when I go back to it using the left arrow.
For reference, I am using Captivate 2019 and have installed the most recent update. My project is not responsive.
Any help is appreciated. I am going a little bit crazy trying to figure this out!
That was a weird coincidence to see practically the same question appearing within the same week. My apologies.
As I wrote before: there were no images attached, please show them which will make it easier to see the problem. I am just busy creating a ‘longer’ tutorial about tracking states with multiple examples, one of them is a carousel with forced view and a back/fwd button. Next button appears when all states have been visited, but I just published the Carousel slide for you, so there is no Next slide. There are 10 states for this multistate object:
Thanks. I will take a look at your tutorial. I have tried re-attaching the images but I get an error message saying that the server is busy. I will keep trying. My problem is different than the problem described in the thread on the Adobe forum.
Jennifer
How did you try to attach the files? You just need to click the button ‘Choose File’. Did you try the link, is that looking like what you want? From what I could read, it looks like you have more than 1 multistate object? In my examples text is added to the state, not in a separate multistate object.
If you cannot upload the images, maybe you could switch to the Adobe forum where that may be easier to attach screenshots. I am around there as well.
Jennifer, I believe that I already answered your question in the Adobe forum a couple of days ago. My suspicion is based on the wording of the title about a ‘Carousel’. It was a custom carousel using multistate objects. Here is the link to that thread:
Meanwhile you acknowledged that the solutions I offered were able to solve your problems.
If you are someone else, please let me know. However the images which you attached didn’t show up in your question. That could have confirmed my suspicion, too bad.
