Thanks. I think I finally figured out, via the advanced settings why my retake wasn’t going back to the right slide.
Now, is there any way for the learner to retake a quiz if they have already passed? Short of retaking the entire module?
That is not a normal situation. You need to create such a situation in the LMS, not in Captivate. In CP alll attempts are considered to be exhausted when the quiz is passed but in the LMS you can reset that situation to offer new possbility to retake the quiz.
Can you offer some more details? First: which exact version are you using, full version number can be found under Help, About Captivate. Was the project created or updated in that version? Which Theme do you use?
You talk about the Retake button, which means there are multiple attempts on quiz level (Quiz Preferences, Pass or Fail. Normally within the same session the Retake button should reset all answers and navigate the learner to the first question slide. However it is perfectly possible to tweak that navigation which could happen with an advanced action On Enter for the first quiz slide, or maybe even elsewhere. Check if there are that type of actions, which can easily be done using the Advanced Interaction dialog box. Have a look at this blog post:
