Problem Statement:
Sometimes it may happen that the learning plan enrollment was triggered for the users who are not the intended/targeted learners for the course. The bulk enrolment option in the course does not show the learning plan auto instance in the instance list.
Brief Description:
In some cases, the admin tries to bulk unenroll the users from the learning plan instance but the bulk unenroll option in the course does not show the learning plan auto instance in the instance list.
In this case, it is recommended to unenroll the users using a learning plan.
Steps to be followed to unenroll the users using the learning plan.
1. Create a user group (for example, User group A): Login as admin>>go to users>>user group>>add user group.
2.Log in as an author and create a Learning plan with the trigger” Learner gets added to the user group”- (This means that when you add users to this user group, the learning plan will trigger and the users get unenrolled).
Here is the screenshot of the learning pan setup that works for bulk unenrolling the users from all the instances associated with the learning objects in one go.
Check the details:
a. Occurs when (this is the trigger): Admin may opt to choose the trigger (occurs when) that best suits your use case. However, I selected the here trigger: Learner gets added to the user group.
b. Select the user group: add the user group that you have created.
c. Action: Unenroll from Courses/ Learning Paths/ Certifications
d. Courses/ Learning Paths/ Certifications: Search and add the course from which the users need to unenroll.
e. Save the learning plan.
3. Enable the learning Plan: Login as Admin>>> Go to learning plan>>select the learning plan created>>action>>enable.
4. Add users to the user group (These are the users whom you need to unenroll): Login as admin>>Go to users>>User groups>>search open the user group>>add users.
The moment you add users, they will be unenrolled.
