Edit scrolling screen recording in Captivate Classic, blur, protecting PII,
I am finishing a project that was started by another ISD.
I do not have access to the raw video files. There was PII in the screen recording that must be removed. I thought I could cover it with white text box or blurr filter….but the screen recording scrolls downwards and the field that has the PII is in view for about 2 secs. The entire slide is only 5.7 seconds. The screen has to scroll to match audio narration.
I tried to cut out the section using timeline, but it seems to be locked…..How do I fix this?? Any help would be appreciated.
This was done with an old version, before the death of the Flash player (already some years ago). It is clearly a software simulation, where the Full Motion Slides used that fromat. SWF is no longer supported on any browser, sorry! In later versions those FMR slides were converted to MP4, but that has not been the case in your output. BTW thanks for the screenshot.
Maybe you can try to find an application to convert the SWF files to MP4 which you could edit in a video editor. However, since you don’t have the original Captivate file, I wonder if just replacing the SWF by MP4 files will be expected. Normally you should need to repbulish.
