Captivate not opening

After 2 years of working in Captivate, it gives me this message when I try to start the software:  ERROR  An error has occurred during activation.  For more information, contact Captivate support.  I follow the link and I see nothing that can help me

Can you tell which exact version you are using? The full version number can be found under Help, About Captivate (Win) or Captivate, About Captivate.

Since you cannot start the application, it is not possible to clear the cache. However you can clean the Preferences. Find the subfolder ‘utils’ under the installation folder. Run ‘CleanPreferences….’ appropriate for your OS. Try to restart Captivate after that cleaning.
