In today’s interconnected digital ecosystem, streamlining access and management of various applications is crucial. This tutorial will guide you through the process of integrating Adobe Learning Manager (ALM) with Microsoft Entra ID, enabling Single Sign-On (SSO) functionality. By integrating these two powerful platforms, you gain control over user access, automate sign-in processes, and centralize user account management.
Prerequisites:
Before diving into the integration process, ensure you have the following:
- A Microsoft Entra subscription (a free account is sufficient).
- An Adobe Learning Manager subscription with Single Sign-On (SSO) enabled.
This tutorial will walk you through configuring and testing Microsoft Entra Single Sign-On in a controlled test environment. Keep in mind that the application identifier is a fixed string value, allowing only one instance to be configured in one tenant.
Steps:
Add Adobe Learning Manager from the Gallery:
- Sign in to the Microsoft Entra admin center as a Cloud Application Administrator.
- Navigate to Identity > Applications > Enterprise applications > New application.
- In the “Add from the gallery” section, search for “Adobe Learning Manager/(old name: Adobe Captivate Prime).”
- Select Adobe Learning Manager from the results and add the app to your tenant.
Alternatively, you can use the Enterprise App Configuration Wizard for a more streamlined process.
Configure Microsoft Entra SSO:
- Sign in to the Microsoft Entra admin center as a Cloud Application Administrator.
- Go to Identity > Applications > Enterprise applications > Adobe Learning Manager > Single sign-on.
- Select SAML as the single sign-on method.
- Click the pencil icon for Basic SAML Configuration.
- In the Identifier text box, enter the URL: https://learningmanager.adobe.com
- In the Reply URL text box, enter the URL: https://learningmanager.adobe.com/saml/SSO
- Download the Federation Metadata XML.
8. Copy the appropriate URLs from the “Set up Adobe Learning Manager” section.
9. You can also Go to Properties tab, copy the User access URL and paste it in the IDP initiated login url fielf of ALM side settings.
By following these comprehensive steps, you’ve successfully integrated Microsoft Entra with Adobe Learning Manager, allowing seamless Single Sign-On and centralized user access control. This integration enhances user experience and simplifies the administration of your learning management systems.

Thank you Anupam Gogoi for sharing this valuable information, this really helps. Question on my side would be if you have ever done this with ADB2C instead of Entra ID?
Since there is no Enterprise applications available, is there any guide on how to approach this?
Many thanks for your support upfront!
