Learners type answers to reveal individual puzzle pieces that complete a puzzle/image after identifying 8 bear species.
Learners have 2 minutes to complete the activity (or they may optionally skip the activity to reveal the answers from the final slide), and with each correct entry, the corresponding puzzle piece displays to show one of eight bear species. Correct entries attempt to take into variants and credit them accordingly (for example, capitalization, alternate names and references, etc.).
The puzzle pieces were formatted as custom shapes in PowerPoint that intersect with the image displayed in the puzzle. Each puzzle piece was then exported from PowerPoint as PNG images for use as project asset files.
