In this video, I show you how to record and edit a training simulation in the all-new Adobe Captivate.
Hello, I am trying to make a Software Simulation Training, and after I select something on the screen, I do not hear the camera click, and I only get one slide to show after I perform three steps. Do you know what I might be doing wrong? I thought it might be a setting, but I followed your instructions. 🙂
Can you show us how to create a simulation without text input boxes? Every time I try to capture a simulation, it does not capture when I click on buttons. However, it only captures when an input box is involved. Am I doing something wrong? For reference, I have created simulations many times in Classic Captivate and never faced these issues.
Do you have multiple monitors? If you are not capturing on your primary display, sometimes Captivate doesn’t capture all the clicks. If you don’t want text input boxes you could change your settings not to capture them.
- click on preferences
- click on modes
- select training from the dropdown mode
- unselect automatically add input fields for text fields
simultaneously, you could capture a demo and copy those slides with simulated typing text to your training simulation project. Your learner would only need to perform the mouse clicks while the typing is done for them.
Hi Paul, appreciate all your videos on the new captivate. I have the final slide in a training simulation. I’ve added a text box congratulating them on completing the training . Can’t see any where to add a button for them to click on to exit the simulation. Are you able to advise how to do this?
