Hi there! I wanted to check if I will be able to edit the imported audio in the new Captivate or if I should use an external tool to edit the audio. Is the in-built audio editing good enough?

Another ‘blog’ moderated, while it is a question. My blogs are not moderated anymore.

In New Captivate all roundtripping with other Adobe applications which exist in Classic Captivate has been dropped (too complicated)? There are some very limited workflows but I always used some quick fixing in Audition by roundtripping: noise cancellating, healing and normalizeing. Especially when audio clips are captured at different moments, it may be necessary to equalize their loudness. If you do not hava access to Audition you can use Audacity as free alternative.

Yes, the new Captivate allows you to edit the audio within the tool. If you are looking for routine features like cut, copy, paste, adding pause, exporting, and importing, then the tool is good enough. For any advanced editing needs like merging or background noise cancellation, you may need an external tool like Adobe Audition.
