How do I ensure that the learner clicks all the tabs or cards before going forward in the new Adobe Captivate?
Hi! There is a setting within the tool for this. Select the whole widget, then under the ‘Visual properties’ panel select ‘Settings.‘ You will find the ‘Move to next slide when the widget completes’ option. This will ensure that the learner visits all the interactive components on the slide before going to the next one.
Forced view? I hate such treatment of adults, based on my long career as trainer/professor/coach. Allow me that reaction.
I have created many tutorials about having shared actions in former versions for that purpose. I just import that shared action using an external library and add one or more parameters. The necessary user variables are created automatically. Principle is the same but much less easy in the New version and will need lot of clicks and copy/paste:
- Hide the Next button with the On Enter slide trigger
- Create a user variable for each required click. You can use number type, give it a value 0, or use True/False with a value False
- Create an interaction for the click, which toggles the value of the variable AND checks the values of all the varable. If they all have been toggled show the Next button.
- Copy/paste that interaction to all the click trigger events and edit them (the specific user variable
Sorry but for me this is a nightmare. It would take me at least 10 times the time which I need at this moment for a similar workflow in 11.5, and there is no way to reuse that setup.
