May I suggest to launch a bug report, which is possible from within Captivate 12 (Help menu). You will get on the uservoice platform, log in and see if it has not yet been logged. You can support requests and reports, or create yours.

Thank you for your reply. We are currently utilizing the 12-2 version of Captivate (2023). Upon reviewing the quiz, we discovered an issue regarding the stem questions, particularly in their accessibility with screen readers. Despite ensuring the correct tab order and assigning accessible names to each object (please refer to the attached document), we observed that the TAB screen reader does not automatically begin reading the multiple-choice stem. For instance, the stem “What is the capital of France?” does not engage the screen reader as intended. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Can you please tell which exact version you are using on which OS? You find the full version number under Help, About Captivate (Win) or Captivate, About Captivate (Mac).
