We can create private folders in the content library and ensure that authors publish their content to private folders. In some cases, we want to ensure that authors do not access or make edits to the content owned by other authors. In such scenarios, we create content folders and assign custom author role which has the scope set to that specific content folder.

The custom author will be only able to view the content folder which they have access to along with public folder which is accessible by all authors.

1. Login as admin. Navigate to settings>>content folders.
2. Create content folders as required.
3. Now, under users>>custom role>>select the specific content folder under ‘Account Privileges’.

This custom author will be able to publish their content under this content folder and other authors cannot make changes to the content inside this private folder.
