In a recent conversation with the Adobe Learning Manager support team, an admin sought guidance on the proper procedure for cancelling a published VILT (Virtual Instructor-Led Training) session. The user mentioned that they had attempted to cancel the session but noticed that it did not reflect as cancelled on the learner side and the previously published invitation still resides in the same time slot in the user’s email calendar.

They were curious about whether a cancellation email would be triggered and if it would indicate that the session was cancelled.

The user further inquired about the correct location to cancel the class, sharing a screenshot for reference. The support team confirmed that the displayed cancellation link was indeed the appropriate place to cancel the session without retiring the entire course or unenrolling users.

The user also raised a question regarding the email that triggers unenrollment. The support team explained that two email templates are involved in the process: the session cancellation email and the session details updated email. The session cancellation email removes the session from the learner’s calendar. To ensure the cancellation email is sent to learners, both templates need to be enabled.

Concerned about users not reading their emails, the user asked if learners would need to manually remove the class from their calendars. The support team assured them that the cancellation email would automatically remove the invitation from the learner’s calendar.
