Problem Statement:

Internal users getting auto deleted for unknown reason in Adobe Learning Manager

Role: Integration Admin user.

Brief Description:

There are cases where admin users sees that some of their user getting deleted by the Adobe Learning Manager without any action or delete call from them.

This article explains in which case the admin users experience this issue/scenario.

Steps to be carried out by the admin user to rectify the issue.

In ALM, only admin can able delete the users. However, following are the two possibility where users were auto deleted by the system.

1. The system auto-deletes the existing user. if the user is not part of the CSV uploaded. This occurs only if admin user uploading users via CSV. The CSV being uploaded must have both existing users and new users being added.
This is designed behavior.

In this case, admin can verify if the users who have been deleted recently are part of the latest CSV being uploaded.

2. Another possibility could be the auto-delete internal user option enabled on the settings page.
Admin user can follow the below steps to verify if the auto- delete option is enabled.

Login as admin>>go to settings>>then check if “auto-delete internal users” is enabled.
