For deploying custom certificates in ALM courses, the PDF link from the badges page offer learners custom-designed certificates. To achieve this, you need to provide the certificate design in HTML format to the ALM support team.
Creating and retrieving badges for custom pdf certificates in ALM –
- In the current versions of ALM, PDF certificates can be accessed by learners from their badges page. (Navigation: Learner role >> Badges >> Badge’s pdf link) The pdf link provides the pdf certificate associated with the badge.
- For a learner to achieve a badge they have to complete the training which has a badge in its course instance setup. (Navigation: Admin or Author role >> Courses >> instances >> Add badge in the required instance.
- You can create your own custom badge in Admin role >> Badges >> Add. (https://helpx.adobe.com/learning-manager/administrators/feature-summary/badges.html)
Deploying Custom Certificate Design:
- The pdf link from the badges can also provide the learners with custom-designed certificates.
- To achieve this you will have to provide the support team with the design in HTML format.
- They will process the HTML and create a custom package to upload it for the account from the system backend, post which the PDF will be available for the users.
- HTML specifications to built the HTML template: https://pd4ml.com/html.htm
- Supported font-styles: ‘serif’, ‘sans-serif’, ‘monospace’ (for english)
‘mingliu’, ‘mangal’, ‘david’, ‘ms gothic’, ‘gulim’ (for other languages)
Note that the badges assignment in a course instance is used here to bring the pdf link to the end user only. The custom-designed certificate template can be applied in the LMS in various ways as per your requirements –
– Account level
– All courses | Separate design for each course is possible
– Learning paths | Separate design for each path is possible
– Certifications | Separate design for each certification is possible
– Skills| Separate design for each skill is possible
