course publishing problem to LMS
Just tried to publish my project to create a file I can upload to the LMS we use and only producing a zip file for a web server… is this the only way to export the course now? Why has this changed from Captivate Classic which always worked with the LMS we have to use within our organisation.
Please advise as we may need to look at an alternative solution.
The answer to your question depends also on the features of your LMS.
Some LMSs accept only SCOs, which is an output generated with Quiz Reporting set up in Captivate. A small percentage of LMSs also accept zipped packages without reporting. A SCO is also a zipped package which includes the necessary files to allow transmitting data to the LMS.
Which type of output did you use this time, did you set up Reporting in Quiz Preferences or not. That has not changed. Because the new version can only create responsive projects, there is possibility anymore to create a passive video (MP4). It may also be necessary to check if your LMS supports reponsive projects.
