Understanding the Issue: An admin/manager noticed inconsistencies between the completion data in the learning summary and the feedback report. It was discovered that some learners who had completed courses and provided feedback did not appear in the learning summary dashboard completions. This raised concerns about the accuracy of the data and prompted further investigation.

Investigation and Support: The individual sought assistance from a technical support engineer to address the issue. The engineer acknowledged the problem and requested relevant reports for analysis. This collaborative approach highlights the importance of seeking support from experts when encountering data discrepancies.

Explanations: Upon investigation, it was revealed that the courses in question were associated with learning paths. Learners who self-enrolled in these courses (only) appeared directly under the courses filter of the Summary dashboard in the admin interface. However, learners who were enrolled through learning programs would appear on the respective learning program filters. This distinction in enrollment methods could explain why some learners were not reflected in the learning summary completions.

Additionally, it was observed that there were no logs associated with feedback submissions from specific learners. This suggests that they either did not submit feedback or the feedback feature was disabled during their course completion. These insights shed light on potential factors contributing to the discrepancies.

Conclusion: The discussion surrounding the discrepancies in the learning summary dashboard and feedback reports emphasizes the significance of addressing such issues in online learning. By seeking support from experts and conducting thorough investigations, organizations can ensure the accuracy and reliability of their data. It is crucial to consider factors such as enrollment methods and potential limitations in feedback submissions to gain a comprehensive understanding of the data. By doing so, organizations can make informed decisions and continuously enhance their online learning programs.
