Video Movies not showing after packaging as SCORM 1.2
(1)

If anyone can help, I would appreciate it.  After attending a training conference, I purchased the newest version of Captivate 12.1.  I have figured out how to create what I want in the class. When I put a video into the generic Video action, it works great in the preview, but when I package it for the SCORM upload to my Talent LMS, the videos don’t play.  I have looked at the content video options, chosen the web, and then put in the video link. I notice it says start time 0’s and end time 3s.  This is not the time of the video, so they seem incorrect. But when I attempt to change them, they revert back to the 0 and the 3s.  This is very frustrating, and I can’t seem to find anything on this issue in the help.

The most recent version is 12.3.0.12. Please update to that version.

You can insert two types of video into Captivate: as slide video (the slide template is indicated with that name) and as event video (term is not used in the slide template which is confusing, it is the template with multiple videos). There is a big difference (not well explaine by so-called trainers nor by the tutorials, user manual). Event video will be embedded in the output folder, but they play completely independently from the slide timeline. Since you tell that you have a slide duration of 3secs, I suspect you have that type of video. Whereas slide video is synchronized with the slide timeline, and the slide should be as long (or longer) than the duration of the video clip. Slide video is meant to be streamed from a stream server. Such a stream server can be YouTube or video, but there are also dedicated video stream servers. Advantage of a slide video is that you can add bookmarks and overlay slides, maybe also subtitles.
