The customer that I am creating the elearning for advised me that he could hear a lot of lorum ipsum text when doing an audio run through the project for disabled people. However, this is not visible in the project at all! Especially where I have created customized knowledge checks (as per video instruction Paul Wilson) ist seems that he can hear this lorum ipsum text. Is there any solution for this?

Hi there, thanks for your response! I have looked it up but I cannot find any lorum ipsum text in the Accessibility option on the corresponding slides. So this is a complete mystery to me. I have gone through the page in reading out mode and could hera that the lorum ipsum text is appearing in the text field where the different answer options will appear after pressing submit. But again, there is no lorum ipsum text there, only my own.

I also just upgraded tot the 12.5 version and now Captivate is gone from my laptop… I will get in toch with technical support if I cannot get this fixed.

Hi,

Thank you for your query.

The option issue is likely caused by default placeholder text in the screen reader accessibility settings. Captivate 12.5 (2023) automatically assigns accessibility text (Alt Text) to objects, and sometimes, if none is provided, it inserts default Lorem Ipsum text.
Open your Adobe Captivate 12.5 project.
– Go to the Accessibility option from right-hand side pane. Under Slide Visibilty; click on each interactive   element (especially in your customized knowledge checks).
– Check the Accessibility Text field—if it contains Lorem Ipsum, replace it with meaningful text or leave it blank.
– Please check the  Reader Order as well. Ensure only the necessary items are listed.
– Remove any unwanted or placeholder text. After making changes, re-publish the project and test it again.

We hope this information addresses your query. You may also contact the technical support team directly via phone (+1-800-833-6687) or chat (https://www.adobe.com/getsupport) for assistance.
