If you have struggled to find some Adobe Captivate examples for sources of inspiration, then feel free to check out my online portfolio. It only makes sense that potential employers, hiring managers, fellow e.Learning professionals, coworkers, etc. want to see what you’re made of, then having some work examples seems like the obvious answer. I have been using Adobe Captivate since it’s initial launch back in 2004. I know that dates me, but it should provide a bit of context […]
A lot of the work I do involves access to course variables, objects, and functions from outside via JavaScript. Some tools make it easier than others. One of the most common things I need to do is trigger a chain of actions to run when a variable is changed. For instance, I may want to lock all the navigation until the server reports that user may proceed. (Maybe they need to complete a task on the site before continuing.) In Adobe Captivate, […]
OK, folks, here goes nothing. Let me start this by providing my bit about my background. I’ve been designing, developing and certifying 508 complaint web based trainings for the government departments for the past several years in multiple positions with multiple departments and agencies. There are essentially three possible outcomes when designing and publishing Adobe Captivate projects. There are Flash based standard projects, HTML5 based standard projects and responsive design based projects. Standard projects in Adobe Captivate have a persistent aspect ratio regardless of whether they are published in Flash or HTML5. Responsive design projects are always HTML5 and can scale across many aspect ratios, making them an ideal choice when you want your project to be viewed on many different types of devices. […]
Many first time viewers of my YouTube channel have asked me in what order they should watch my Adobe Captivate tutorials. I wish I thought of that 180 videos ago. I recorded these tutorials as questions from other viewers came in, or when I thought of a good idea for a tutorial. I never thought anyone would want to sit down and start with one tutorial and work their way through them all. I began to think about this […]
