In the previous post we learnt how to create triggered effects in Captivate. In this post we will focus on custom effects.
One of the cool feature in Captivate 5 is you can create custom effects (which are not present in captivate by default) in Flash and import it in Captivate. Following Demo shows how to create vibrate effect (similar effect when you type wrong password in Mac log-in screen).
Basic Steps are:
1) Create desired effects in Flash using key frames & classic tween.
2) Select relevant Key frames
3) Export Motion XML or Copy Motion XML & then paste in notepad & save it as xml file in the Captivate Effects Directory(if you want it to appear in Captivate effects Menu) or any other place.
4) Now simply browse the custom effect and apply it on any object and that’s it.Your object will be dancing with your newly created effect.
