Make Your Own Slide Out Table of Contents Menu
I've been an eLearning designer and developer since 2005. In 2015 I started my own eLearning design company. I began creating Adobe Captivate video tutorials to help promote my business through my YouTube channel at https://youtube.com/captivateteacher. My intention with my YouTube videos was to attract attention from organizations looking for a skilled Captivate developer. This strategy proved successful as I've worked with clients worldwide, helping them build highly engaging eLearning solutions. In addition, my YouTube channel presented another benefit of attracting aspiring Captivate developers to seek me out as a teacher. I now offer online and onsite training on Adobe Captivate, teaching users the skills to build engaging and interactive learning.

My clients love this feature and they think it requires some really complex coding to get it to happen. When you see how easy it is to make your own custom slide out table of contents menu, you’ll want to include it in your courses as well. All you need are 1 variable to keep track of the condition of your custom TOC Menu, a single advanced actions and a few other advanced actions for your navigation controls.

That’s a good point. I happen to be using this technique for a makeshift table of contents but you could use it for all types of extra stuff.

Here is my challenge to everyone reading this. What else could you use this technique for beside a collapsible table of contents? Comment below.

Great video, Paul! This will certainly be something I use to help maximize the dwindling screen real estate my learners face!
