I hadn’t thought about imbedding the LMS discussion rooms into the course. Great thought!

Which LMS are you using?
Does the LMS have a discussion board which itself could be embedded into the Captivate web object?
Some LMSs allow for discussion boards either generally or for specific content / modules.
Could be worth exploring as the users would already be logged in via the LMS.
Will be interesting to see how you go.

Sorry Jessica, just need to add, you would need to get the URL of the actual discussion board within the LMS.

We won’t be using LMS at this point. We will be using the publish as app function on captivate to turn our course into an android app.

Interesting! Would you want a way to be able to single-sign on from the app to the discussion board?
ideally, yes. At the moment, it’s an external link via a button to a separate discussion board platform.
