Hi,

I made a few textual changes in my eLearning and now my slides automatically go to the next slide at the end.

Before my slides would stop and when I click on the next button in the playbar, it started the next slide. No clue why this function now is not working any more. Online I read about creating extra buttons, but I don’t want that. It worked with the normal play bar functions and after my changes in the text it now is not working any more.

Does anybody know what might be causing this issue? I’m using the latest Captivate version

Hello,

Looks like you have unchecked “Pause after” setting from property inspector.

1. Select the button on stage area.
2. Go to Property inspector -> Timing -> check “Pause after:”.

If your slides are basic and just have text and images and no internal movement, an easy way to fix this is to use the properties panel and make your “On Enter” action as pause.

Click on each slide, Choose Actions from the properties panel on the far left. The first field is “on Enter” choose Pause from the dropdown.

Now for each slide that you do this, you will need to use the “next” in the playbar to move forward. No new buttons necessary.

Sorry to pop in, but having Pause On enter for a slide, will not pause everything at all. The easiest way to apuse every slide at its end is to add a shape button to the aain master slide, with alpha and stroke set to 0.Default setup for such a button is to Pause every slide at its last frame.
