I am recording an application e using cp 8.0.3.290. Recently, the program stopped recording the background of the application. The filmstrip below is an example. You can see what the library shows below for a bad background (#1) and a good background (#3). I cannot edit, edit, import, or otherwise fix the background. I have tried many instances of recording, preferences, et cetera. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program, including creative cloud (albeit my cp is local), and I have reset my util preferences. I have cleared the cache as well. This is Windows 7 64-bit. I rolled back the most recent Windows, non-security updates. This issue occurs with or without admin access, and with or without firewall blocks. I have no idea what happened.
Answers:
1) Yes it behaves the same in other applications. Upon closer inspection it seems to happen to the slides after I type something into the application being recorded. Those post-typed backgrounds are blank. The slides after that may appear correctly. If I do a software simulation of all mouse clicks, and no typing, all backgrounds are recorded.
2) I have admin access to my computer, and tried with the same results. I am working on another admin account, as this is an enterprise environment.
3) Same theme, all blank.
Thank you
Hi,
Could you please confirm if Captivate is showing same behavior for other applications too? Also, could you please try to create a new Admin account on your machine and then try to Capture the same simulation. Let me know if it shows anything different.

Ashish
