Place simulation on a master background?

Hi, not sure if this is even possible to do… but here’s what I’m trying to accomplish:

  • Have a blue bar on the top of the screen, that’s where the instructions to the student will go. The idea is not to cover any part of the screen capture (see red arrows)
  • Display the screen capture/simulation (see yellow box) in a smaller size so it fits below the blue bar

Is something like that even possible?

I am grateful for any ideas… Thanks!

Not sure, you did, because recenly the option to post as z Question was restored, maybe this was a question. It is not possible for me to see what is it is, maybe I miss something.
Did you try what I proposed? Was my suspicion correct that you want to embed software sim slides in another project but have a bar on top?
If that bar has always the same content, here is another idea but it will require that you resize at least the software sim slides to have room for the bar on top. Create that bar on the first software slide, and time it for the rest of the project. If it has interactive objects, you can only use shape buttons.

I am puzzled because the title of your ‘discussion’ which in reality a question, is not what is explained in the content of the thread. You can have the text with instructions on a content master slide. For a softwre simulation by default the blank master slide is used because lot of backgrounds have to be created for each slide in the sim. You will need to make the sim in a separate project, that has a height that is smaller than the final project, to make room for the text bar.. Then you’ll have to do some rescaling. Idea is explained in an old post:
