Support builds confidence as Adobe responds to those who advocate for social change.
Captivate has grown with me as I honed my skills as an instructional designer and curriculum developer. I was a reluctant designer, preferring to facilitate existing courses online. I did have the education and experience but lacked confidence in my ability to create a quality product that would be easy for those I served to use as a learning solution. Adobe Captivate was user-friendly and has become more so over the years. As I work with colleagues who do not have experience with this powerful instructional design tool I find that many of them, like me, simply lack confidence. Once I connect them to the online Learning networks created by Adobe such as this one and the Adobe Education Exchange Network their fears melt away. They understand that rather than being alone they are surrounded by other creative minds working for social change through education.
I have been pleased that Adobe has been responsive to numerous requests over the years to make their products, including Captivate, more accessible (affordable) to those at all socioeconomic levels who have access to a computer and Internet. The reward system for those engaged with the community is a huge step forward. Adobe continues to be an innovator at all levels rather than just the software. I believe all deserve the opportunity to learn and create in order to positive social change and now…I feel Adobe is being responsive. Thank you!
Thank you Lieve for being so willing to share and give. My husband and I are registered for Las Vegas in October. He is an eLearning producer…full-time. He does use other products alongside Captivate as a requirement of the job. I am hardcore Captivate. (Hopefully you are smiling again.) We’ll see you there.
