When I publish in Captivate 2017 in a SWF format, MP4 videos inserted into a frame does not open. I receive “connection error” or “error”. I get this error on MacBook and Windows PC. Preview works fine, just publishing issue.

I’m also facing the same issue. I installed the latest update of captivate 2017. But still not able to view embedded videos in swf output. I’m using Captivate 2017 latest build on windows 10.

Please share solution to this issue.

Hope you are aware of the fact that Flash Player, needed to play SWF output is dying in all browsers?  The result is that the Captivate team has no focus anymore on SWF output at all. Embedded videos used to be converted to flv, that may be origin of the problems.

How did you test the output? Locally or after uploading to a server? Is the browser supporting SWF?

I’m having the same issue using the CP2019 version. when an mp4 file is inserted as an event video, it fails to load when published as an swf file.

as the previous poster stated, it previews perfectly (preview>project). something is lost on export. is this a codec problem? or is the video not saving within the file? these are very short videos, so i don’t believe length is an issue…

A Mac user publishing to SWF? Sounds strange, especially when EOL of Flash Player is announced.
Does the slide (I think you mean that by frame, framerate is at 30fps, you cannot insert a video i a frame) with the video play fine in Preview? Best preview method is (in your case) F12, which is Preview in Browser. Is the Flash Player plugin enabled in the browser?
Is the video inserted as event video or a synchronized video? You are using CP2017, but did you install the patch to 10.0.1.285?
