Hi, I have created a template which I want to be a CPTX file. Is there a way to change this to a CPTX file or can I somehow copy the template into a CPTX file?

Thanks,
Karen

Copy all the slides and paste them into a CPTX file.

That is simply impossible: an existing template file can only be opened as a cptx file, just save it. Copy/paste slides is possible between cptx-files.

cptl-files using variables and advanced actions going crazy. That is one of the bugs. I avoid cptl-files since many years, since design consistency can be achieved in most cases by using a custom theme which is a lot more flexible.

I would certainly never recommend to use a cptl file anymore, it is very buggy.

You do not convert to a cptx, you use the template to create a cptx file. For some strange reason it no longer appears in the Welcome screen (maybe due to the bugs), but you can use the File menu to create a project from a template file:

What bugs are you referencing? I ask because in a recent project there were some major bugs and am wondering if some of them could be alleviated by avoiding the cptl file type.
