Why the differences between 360 in a Normal Project vs. VR Project?

1. When inserting a hotspot in a VR Project, I have the option to add a question. In a ‘Normal’ project with a 360 slide, hotspots do not have this option. Why is that?

2. In a Normal project, I can use the Skin editor to customize the playbar. In a VR Project, the Skin Editor (and a bunch of other options) is grayed out, which means that VR Project will always display the full playbar. Why is that?

Thanks Lieve. I understand that the only way to navigate to a second 360 slide is by using the playbar. But I would have expected that I can at least customize the playbar, e.g. turn off the progress bar, the close button, etc. Anyway, i can live with the current setup.

Sure, understand that you want more control, I was just trying to find a logical reason for the differences. That playbar must have a special setup to skip the ‘overlay’ quiz slides. Maybe a future release will add more control what I personally also would appreciate for the styling of the question slides in a VR project. BTW you can use Typekit fonts in those question slides, tried that out. But it has to be done manually, not by editing the styles.

I am just guessing, but I see several reasons for this difference.

In a VR project you can have multiple 360 slides (the only type of slide which is available under the big button, Insert menu is completely greyed out). The only way to navigate to a second 360 slide is by using the playbar. It is not possible to create custom navigation buttons, all interactive objects are greyed out as well.

Questions are created using sort of layover slides and a background slide. When using the Next button in a VR project, those slides will be skipped, they are part of the previous 360 slides. In a normal project that is not possible, the Next button would go to the next slide. There is no ‘construction’ available to create the same type of overlay slides. Just add a normal quiz slide.

The good thing is that the question slides in a VR project do appear in the Advanced Interaction panel, can be reported. Quiz Preferences are available. There is a limitation: you cannot change the object styles, the OSM is not available.
