This is a simple and fun way how to use drag and drop interaction in Captivate. Two categories, two boxes – easy as that! We also added two states to the boxes – opened and closed. Whenever the user will drag answer choice over a box it will open up and in the meantime, the other one will be closed.
This template is compatible with Adobe Captivate 9 and Adobe Captivate 2017.

Just to clarify things, this is an interactive template, which is predesigned and preprogrammed to help you build drag and drop interactivity super fast . We usually work with .cptx files as that has been proven to be easier for beginner users, but now we added also .cptl file in the download, for those who prefer this way. Have a great day everyone and enjoy the template 🙂
Hi Todd,
this is a template, that you can use to build a drag and drop interaction. It is predesigned and preprogrammed with all the actions and triggers, so that you can save a lot of time, and don’t have to think about it all.
Perhaps you have some questions?
Thanks for posting this, but please do not label the file as a template if it is not a cptl file (just to avoid confusion).
A complete overview of all InBuilt states for drag sources and for drop targets can be found in this article:

Hey Lieve,
I believe one of the beauties of Captivate is that everyone can build whatever they like, we like using this type of interaction, as our experience shows that having multiple inBuilt states confuses new developers. As these are templates for quick use and lots of beginners use them, we thought the easier the better. But hey I suggest you share your templates, we share ours, and the Captivate community benefits. How about that?
