I just changed a few words in the cptx file, and I don’t want to have to update all of the folders and files associated with the video if I don’t have to . Can you tell me which file(s) needs to be updated on the server when  you just change text in the CPTX file?

The file is already published on an internal server not an LMS tool, the only changes that I made were to the .cptx file,  I edited and added some additional text. I’m hoping there is a way that I don’t have to update every file that I have added to the server, only the file which contains the text changes.

No, I’m sorry. You will have to republish and upload again.  Publishing is much more than just moving some files. Some examples: graphics, audio, video are compressed, some text containers will be converted to images, images converted to JSON scripts etc.

Sorry, but you’ll have to republish te cptx to the wanted output and upload again. The cptx-file is the raw file. You don’t have to do many manual editing to that folder, unless you did tweak several files after publishing the first time.

Could you please elaborate on what changes you have made in your project and how would like to get this updated on the server. Is it just the CPTX file that you have renamed or you have also change the video inside Captivate project? Also, have published the project on any LMS?
