I am doing some research to find a good 360 camera I can purchase to create virtual tours in Captivate. I have never created these before. Any guidelines I should follow or suggestions for 360 camera?

Hello I have seen that you use a Ricoh Theta V camera and I have a question: is it easy to retrieve some pictures on its PC ? I have seen that we could only do it if for Facebook or Twitter. Is it true? Cannot we do it without these 2 social network? Thank you.

You can transfer the images/video easily to PC or phone or tablet. I never use Facebook, and did not post any 360 image on Twitter, which I use.

ok thank you, as they mention on their documentation that it was the only 2 possibilities I had a doubt.

Bad documentation, I didn’t see that when I bought the camera, and it was recommended by the Adobe Captivate team (always ask them for advice). Really very easy to use and remarkable quality of the output.

The Ricoh Theta V 360 camera is really good for the a school or a college however a cost effective solution for students to purchase themselves is The VR Kit You can by the kit or each item separately.

Its  a kit  that contains 180S clip-on smart phone fish-eye lens that you can create 360 images at 8K resolution and 32 MP, right from your smartphone.

I too have a Ricoh Theta V 360 camera. It is relatively simple to use and does provide good quality images and video. I have been able to import its 360 images and video into Captivate 2019. There are lots of possibilities for eLearning and virtual tours that I am just beginning to explore.

The new feature of using VR projects or 360 slides is really AR, not fully VR but a great enhancement, for many use cases. I am using a Ricoh Theta V, it is rather simple to use and the quality is great. It used to be within my budget, the real professional 360 cameras are way too expensive compared with this one.
