Creating a Custom Theme

Hello,

I’ve scoured YouTube as well as these forums and am failing to find any instruction. I’m not looking to merely customize existing built-in themes, but rather to create one of my own with my company’s logo, colors, etc. Is this possible in Captivate?  I’m a 2019 user and fairly inexperienced.

Regards,
Brett Koranda

Thank you so much for the responses. Lieve Weymeis , I followed your advice and have successfully built a fairly simple theme of my own. This was exactly what I was seeking!

Search the forum for themes.

I saw a travel theme that was very good a few weeks ago.

Understanding themes is one of the main stumbling blocks for newbies. To create a custom theme you should start from the Blank theme. It is not available in the Thumbnails but you’ll find it in the Gallery (use the Browse button). It has the minimum number of master slides that is required: Blank, 4 quizzing master slides and score slide. Then you can start building the theme: Theme Colors Palette, Object Styles, Master slides, Skin and eventually the Recording defaults if you need them. Have a look at one of my blog posts about themes (is a main subject in each basic training I offer):

You have to know that themes for a blank (normal) project, a fluid boxes project and a Breakpoint Views project are different! I would recommend to start with a normal, not responsive project theme.
