Hi there,

I am excited to join the community and begin learning from the collective wisdom I believe must be gathered here.

I have been teacher of the design suite for many years, designing plenty of materials along the way but am new to Captivate. I want to learn as much as possible, as quickly as possible. In particular, I am sure there must be plenty of tips and tricks usually gathered through trial and error. Those little gems I won’t learn from the training manuals, the best practice and the don’t do’s.

I’d be very happy to hear from community members wanting to share, thanks!

Maybe you can start reading some of my blog posts. Have a look at this one:

I do use the Creative Cloud as well, have been teaching Photoshop for 25 years. Since about 10 years I am passionate about Captivate. The previous mentioned blog is based on my experience as trainer/consultant and on daily answering questions about Captivate everywhere.

Hi Lieve

Thank you so much, a great link for starters!

It is so good to hear from another trainer, and one with so much experience. It is the questions the students ask, especially when starting out, and for which I really want to be ahead of the game. Much appreciate 🙂

You’re welcome.  I feel very frustraten when looking at curricula for basic training, because most never even mention, and certainly don’t explore in depth those three stumbling blocks which are the cause of many issues for newbies. You’ll find a lot about them in my blog posts. And I plan to write some more about the new timelines in Interactive Video and 360 slides which appeared in CP2019.
