I divided an hour long of audio I imported into slides, in one shot since it’s not possible to divide it once it’s on a slide, only to realize that it distributed incorrectly. Is there a way to move audio from one slide to another, without having to spend aonther full day dividing the sound wave?
Thank you!
Sorry maybe I wasn’t clear. I imported a narration I need specific to the presentation. The recording is 55 min and I had to split it for each slide in one shot. But if it’s not distributed correctly, I was wondering if I could move the sound from one slide to another.
Thank you!

It is not a good idea just to distribute the project audio, especially if it is that long. It will lead to lot of waiting time at the start of the project to load that audio clip and may even cause unsynchronizing. After distributing, please make each slide audio independent but leaving a small gap before and after the sound timeline. That way you’ll find all the audio clips in the Library and you will be able to use the described workflow
All clips can be found in the Library (one of the most useful but also underestimated Captivate features). Use ‘Find in Library’ from the context sensitive menu on the audio clip. You can drag any audio clip from the Library to a slide (wil become slide audio) or an object (wil become object audio).
