One of the most common things I have to do in Captivate is to add from 5 to 20 clickable objects that will update the main object container.  With Captivate States option I can now do this is a matter of minutes.  In the image below I have ten smart shapes that change the information in the main container.  Before this would have taken me an hour to write, creating many main containers and writing various different pieces of code.  Now with the States option, it is simplified.  This is a bit step forward and a really big cost saver to any instructional designer/developer.
