Hello All,
Getting flustrated with fluid boxes not displaying things correctly. I resized the responsive project to larger than the default (really dumb default as that standard was ok about 10 years ago) and tried to size my fluid boxes the way I needed them. I had 7 vertical fluid boxes.
1. The Fluid box positioning tab has the width at the default “1024” and so does not match what the actual size is.
2. The Fluid box positioning tab height setting seems to only have a max percent of page height of 35%. This limit is way to small for me.
Is my install messed up? the latest patch messed up? or a limitation that was somehow created and needs to be fixed?
Thanks for any assistance
Richard
I can understand that you want very accurate positioning for Breakpoint views, but with Fluid Boxes you are giving lot of control over the layout to Captivate. Why do you say that the Guides are not accurate enough? You can specify the exact location of a guide. I find it bit strange to use Positioning for Fluid boxes, never use it. When designing a Fluid Boxes Theme, I set up an accurate grid with the guides, which I can use for all the master slides. I would never spend time to enter that position over and over again for each master slide.
Hello Lieve,
I am using the positioning tab for accurate positioning as I have a specific area for each fluid box. The problem I am running into is the maximum size allotted to each fluid box. There seems to be a max setting someone thought was “everyone could live with” but I don’t fit into the barrel.
I was hoping maybe a captivate designer or someone that has had the same issue as I am would comment on my question as well.
I do thank you for commenting about the Ruler and guide as they are useful but not accurate enough for my material
